DakExam ("we," "our," "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Who We Are

DakExam is an independent educational platform for India Post departmental exam preparation. We are not affiliated with India Post, the Department of Posts, or any government authority. Contact: support@dakexam.in

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: Name and email address obtained via Google Sign-In when you create an account.
• Profile information: Designation, postal circle, division, and exam target — provided voluntarily by you during onboarding.
• Usage data: Questions answered, accuracy scores, streaks, topics attempted, and session timestamps — stored to power your performance analytics.
• Payment information: Processed entirely by Razorpay. We do not store card numbers, UPI IDs, or any payment credentials. We only receive a payment confirmation ID.
• Device data: Browser type and approximate location (city-level) for analytics. We do not track precise GPS location.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To personalise your learning experience and show your performance analytics
• To maintain your streak, badges, and leaderboard position
• To verify your subscription status
• To send important service notifications (not marketing, unless you opt in)
• To improve the question bank and app features

4. Data Storage

Your progress data is stored in two places: locally on your device (browser localStorage) and on our secure Google Sheets backend. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs. We do not sell your data to any third party.

5. Google Sign-In

We use Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication. We only request your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, or any other Google services.

6. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@dakexam.in. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

DakExam is intended for India Post employees who are adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Cookies

We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to store your progress and preferences locally. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

9. Your Rights (under Indian IT Act 2000 and DPDP Act 2023)

• Right to access the personal data we hold about you
• Right to correct inaccurate personal data
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to withdraw consent for data processing

11. Changes to This Policy
